Denzel Curry-Imperial_First Impressions

The beginning of this album came across a bit heavy on the trap beats but as the album progresses the beats become a bit more subtle.  The production is never really too heavy and Curry isn’t necessarily making music just to hype up the crowd.  A considerable amount of effort is placed on varying the production surrounding his passionate voice.  Also, the album is quick hitting.  Sometimes these trap albums can go on for a bit too long in my opinion.  Curry’s lyricism is also quite good exposing a bit of confidence while also addressing race issues in the song “If Tomorrow’s Not Here.”
